The RCCQ is once again planning a National gathering of Renaults in Brisbane for July 2010 with particular emphasis on the sporting Renaults and Alpines but it is open to all Renaults and Renault enthusiasts. 

We last held a similar event in 2005, which was a great success and hope to do the same or even better this time.   Of note, the RSAE 2010 will include the Grand Display of French Cars (GDoFC) as our show day on the Sunday as we did in 2005.

However, additional events that may be of interest, include:

Note that anyone may join us for all or any part of this two weeks of RSAE.  The registration costs are only applicable for attendance at the formal events listed on the flyer, ie the dinners, etc.  The Sprint, accommodation, and travel to/from Sydney  are not included in this cost.  In other words, if you only want to participate in the sprint and maybe come to Sydney with us, there is no RSAE registration fee.  Just your personal costs.  However, registration will still be needed to enable us to determine numbers.

This is primarily to confirm the RSAE 2010 is coming and to start planning your time and accommodation if you wish to attend.  More flyers will be forthcoming as we bed down and firm up our planning. We are not seeking registration at this time.

Planned Itinerary

Friday 9 July – Welcome Function 7-9 pm Robertson Gardens. Meet and greet with

fellow enthusiasts on our opening night with nibbles and a drink. You will be provided with

your registration presentation packs. Renault memorabilia on display.

Saturday 10 July morning – Scenic Drive along some picturesque SE Qld roads. Will

include official assembly photo shoot opportunities and lunch at the destination.

Saturday 10 July afternoon – Time out. Your opportunity to be a tourist; look around,

shop, relax, or prepare your car for the display Sunday.

Saturday 10 July Evening – Gala Dinner 7 pm Robertson Gardens. Includes a guest

speaker and a Renault memorabilia auction.

Sunday 11 July – A Grand Display of French Cars 9:30 am Brookfield Pony Club

Showgrounds. All participants join the SE Qld French car display and show their cars.

There will be a casual dinner for RSAE participants.

Monday 12 July – Track Day. An optional event of sprints or regularity laps. Even if you don’t want to put your car on the track, come along and watch some special cars in action.

Tues 13 to Fri 16 – Transit to Sydney. Optional event. Travel along some of the more

interesting roads between Brisbane and Sydney. Actual itinerary and timing to be advised.

Sat 17 July - Drive through national park to a lunch location. Return in afternoon. Time to wash cars. Saturday evening drinks and Targa Tasmania DVD at Ernst and Sonya Luthi's place then dinner at Austrian Restaurant.

Sunday 18 July – Sydney All French Car Day. Attend the RCCA’s big day rounding out

an enjoyable week of all things Renault.

Costs (tentative) – Registration per car plus one person $130, additional persons $95.

These costs cover Registration, Welcome Function, Gala Dinner, GDoFC entry, Sunday Casual Dinner. Note, while there may be a complimentary drink at the functions additional drinks are not covered in the costs.
